Coalition Forces
The coalition forces fighting the Iraqi occupation in Kuwait were made up of the U.S. and its NATO allies along with Egypt and other Arab nations helping to guard against an invasion of Saudi Arabia. The coalition forces prepared to fight against the Iraqi's numbered 750,000 while 540,000 of these troops were U.S. and the rest was made up of British, French, German, Soviet, Japanese, Egyptian, and Saudi Arabian forces. This force went up against the combined forces of Iraq, Jordan, Algeria, the Sudan, Yemen, Tunisia, and the Palestinian Liberation Organization(PLO). |
